The program is sponsored by Center for Language Education and Cooperation and hosted by School of International Communications & Education, Communication University of Zhejiang. Open to non-Chinese learners who are interested in learning Chinese and understanding the social, economic and cultural development in contemporary China, it offers courses like Comprehensive Chinese, Situational Dialogue, Chinese Characters & Calligraphy, Chinese Catchwords and Appreciation of Chinese Poetry. In addition, it will elaborate the social, economic and cultural features of contemporary China in four modules: Smart Cities, Emerging Sectors, Cultural Inheritance and Transportation. A dynamic China will be presented with the rich contents and flexible teaching methods. Short videos and interactive animations will be intercut into the live-streaming and recorded courses as supplementary elements for lecturing. This program focuses on the multi-dimensional interaction among teachers, overseas learners and Chinese students, which will enhance the enthusiasm of overseas learners to study Chinese and to better understand contemporary China.
