This course introduces the Han dynasty dance through numerous lively unearthed relics of that time period, such as paintings, stone sculptures and pottery figures; it also narrates the glory of Tang dynasty dance through two famous performances on TV: Flying Apsaras, the Spring Festival gala show, and Night Banquet in Tang Dynasty Palace, the warmly received dance performance. The course also tries to blend modern elements of Chinese dance into these ancient dances, aiming to display the thickness of the contemporary Chinese culture, the strength of cultural innovation and the achievements of cultural construction.
