The 2021 "Chinese Bridge" online cultural exchange program of Jiujiang University——"Silk Road Discourse" will last for 9 days. The courses focus on the two main export products of the ancient Silk Road (Maritime Silk Road) including porcelain and tea which are conducted in the form of "recorded broadcast plus live streaming", covering two parts of culture and language, it aims to enable students with a certain Chinese foundation to better understand Chinese dialects, traditional Chinese culture and interpersonal communication, and also to learn practical Chinese reading skills, speeches and poetry reading etc. ; It gives lectures about the origin and development of Jingdezhen ceramics, tea making, tea drinking etiquette and arts, and mainly highlighting the successful cases of rural revitalization of ceramics and tea in Jiangxi. The students will start a journey of exploring the secrets of porcelain and tea culture in a "cloud class" way, and will get a preliminary understanding of the skills and beauty of Chinese reading. The 2021 "Chinese Bridge" online cultural exchange program of Jiujiang University is sponsored by Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and is organized by Jiujiang University. The majority of participants are from the Confucius Institute of the Royal Academy of Cambodia and Chinese schools in Southeast Asia. It is expected to enroll 200 students in 5 classes. The program aims to help maintain the enthusiasm of overseas young people in learning Chinese during the epidemic, to meet their needs for understanding Chinese language and culture, to expand foreign students’ cognition of Chinese culture, Jiangxi province and Jiujiang city, to enhance overseas learners’ enthusiasm to know about China and Chinese culture, and to introduce some successful practices of China's rural revitalization, and the achievements of socialism with Chinese characteristics by this project.
