Since the writings were preserved and spread, there have been more than 3,500 people who climbed up to Lushan Mountain left nearly 16,000 poems with their names for research. Not only does Lushan Mountain show a magical, majestic and magnificent scenery for people to view and appreciate with their eyes. Moreover, with the tranquility, leisure and seclusion of the mountain, it soothes our restless worldly heart, enlightens our life’s wisdom, comforts our tired hearts, and places our anxious lives. Lushan poems are the precious spiritual wealth left to us when classical poets’ body and mind were placed in the embrace of Lushan Mountain. Three poems by Li Bai's "Lushan Ballad", Su Shi's "Written on the Wall at West Forest Temple ", and Tao Yuanming's "Drinking Wine (Part 5)" were selected in our class for your analysis and appreciation.
