The School of Foreign Languages at Chongqing University of Technology will host the 2024 "Chinese Bridge" Online Winter Camp from October 21 to October 31, 2024, targeting Chinese language learners and enthusiasts worldwide. This winter camp consists of two group projects: "Exploring the Magical Mountain City and Experiencing Contemporary Chongqing" and "Crossing Time and Space, Mutual Learning of Civilizations — China-Vietnam Youth Online Dialogue." The "Crossing Time and Space, Mutual Learning of Civilizations — China-Vietnam Youth Online Dialogue " program lasts for 11 days and includes 10 hours of Chinese language classes, 8 hours of cultural theme teaching, 8 hours of live tours, one "Chinese Traditional Culture Show" event, and a variety of recorded activities."Across Time and Space, Mutual Learning of Civilizations-Sino-Vietnamese Youth" lasts for 11 days, with a total of 10 hours of Chinese lessons, 8 hours of cultural theme teaching, 8 hours of live tours, a "Chinese Traditional Culture Show" activity, and a variety of video courses.The lecturer broadcast live and led the students to walk through the streets and alleys, contacting Chinese folk customs and natural scenery in an all-round way, forming the characteristics of this winter camp. 120 college students from Vietnam signed up for the group project and had full and in-depth exchanges with more than 70 Chinese teachers and students during their short study time.The goal of this group project is to build a platform for students to improve their Chinese proficiency and perceive Chinese culture from multiple perspectives through online Chinese learning on three themes, namely, cultural symbols, cultural memory and contemporary life, on the one hand, and on the other hand, through communication and dialogue throughout the project.From the synchronic and diachronic dimensions, the youth of China and Vietnam present a real, three-dimensional and vivid image of each other's country, and enhance mutual recognition.
