This course features three themes aimed at helping foreign learners understand the changes in lifestyles during the modernization processes of China and Vietnam, enhancing their awareness of the cultures of both countries. Theme One: Discovering Vietnam** presents an overview of the country through three aspects: general information, cultural elements, and cuisine. The overview introduces the geography and cultural context; cultural elements include the áo dài, modes of transportation, and ethnic minorities, highlighting the country’s multiculturalism; the cuisine section introduces nine representative dishes to deepen understanding of Vietnam. Theme Two: Exploring Hanoi** focuses on the city through its cultural history, urban scenery, and modern life. The cultural history section discusses the city's historical background; the scenery part showcases representative landmarks; modern life is illustrated through transportation, food, and shopping, highlighting the diverse and open nature of Hanoi. Theme Three: Today's Rapidly Developing China** covers education, smart living, transportation, and entertainment. The education section showcases achievements and new developments; smart living reflects advancements in artificial intelligence; the transportation section demonstrates China's speed and scale through infrastructure; finally, the entertainment segment illustrates China's rapid development and leading position through tourism, film, and short videos.
