Harbin Normal University, characterized by pedagogical education, is a provincial key university with the coordinated development of liberal arts, science, art, economics and management. The university takes full advantage of its geographic position located at the center of Northeast Asia to persist in running on an international way. It has established close educational, scientific and technological cooperation as well as academic exchanges with 80 universities and scientific research institutions in 30 countries and regions, including Russia, the United States, the U.K., France, Japan, Canada, Australia, Poland, South Korea, Brazil and Egypt. Five Confucius Institutes/Classroom have been established in the U.K., Russia, South Korea, Angola and Thailand respectively. The university also possesses the “Heilongjiang Teacher Training Center for International Chinese Promotion” and a national designated test site for Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Language. At the same time, it is experienced in reception for receiving several student groups and headmaster groups from Chinese Bridge every year.
