In order to give full play to the strengths of the clothing and clothing design major of ZhongShan Polytechnic, the Program is set up as a platform for cultural and technical exchanges between the institute and all the colleges from countries in the Belt and Road Initiative. The Program combines Chinese language learning with vocational skills practice, in an attempt to equip participants with professional competencies and basic knowledge of the Chinese language and culture. Participants will take courses in Chinese language learning and clothing and will be able to understand technical terms in the apparel industry, allowing them to be better prepared for their careers. As one of the world's top textile suppliers, China is proud of its thousand-year history in apparel design and modern fashion resources. Based on such, the courses, which will be taught in Chinese, will present comprehensive content about garment production including terminology, technical parameters, and techniques in garment construction, pattern making and craft, draping, computer-aided design(CAD), and Chinese embroidery, allowing students to acquire practical skills and experience the beauty of Chinese culture.
