Co-organized by Xi'an Kedagaoxin University and several schools in Thailand, the project of “Learning Chinese by Roaming in Chang’an” is the implementation of a creative remote teaching mode: “language+culture”.In the form of on-site live streaming, professional video record and so on, this project will integrate the video programme with the frequently-tested new words and grammars in the new HSK. By presenting the audience with a visual feast, this programme combines the history with the charm of modern times, integrates the culture with the knowledge, and helps the Thai students learn Chinese happily. It shows the Thai students around the thousand-year-old Chang’an via some cloud-based devices, and enables them to experience the Chinese culture even if they are at a long distance from Chang’an. This unique online project of lingual and cultural experience will enable the junior middle school students, senior middle school students and university students in Thailand to deepen their understanding of the Chinese civilization, to appreciate the quintessence of local culture in ancient capital Xi’an under the seven major themes, to find the differences or similarities between the Chinese culture and the Thai culture in the course of interaction, and to get the flash of inspiration by means of mutual communication, thereby forming the bridge of cultural exchange, enhancing mutual trust or cooperation, and facilitating the formation of “the community of common destiny”.
