Transportation in China, a transportation-themed lecture series, introduces the characteristics, developments and status quo of transportation in China, including the general situation of Chinese transportation, Beijing subway system, logistics so on and so forth, with the aim to providing plentiful Chinese knowledge for international Chinese enthusiasts. The Transportation in China series will promote international Chinese learners’ understanding of Chinese transportation and encourage them to use appropriate expressions to describe the status quo of it. International Chinese learners will have a preliminary understanding of Chinese transportation as the courses go further. This lecture is divided into three interconnected parts, which introduces Beijing Jiaotong University, Chinese transportation and related knowledge, transportation in Chinese, respectively. International students will benefit from the following aspects: you will have a better understanding of Chinese culture, Chinese and transportation culture, and complete the related tasks independently. You will also be a contributor promoting the exchange of students in BJTU with international students, thus disseminate the knowledge on the history of Beijing Jiaotong University and the characteristics of transportation culture. Transportation in China takes characteristic culture as a link, which not only conveys China’s voice, demonstrates China’s contribution and promotes regional development, but spread the radiation of Chinese culture, Chinese wisdom and Chinese achievements on transportation to the whole world, thus ultimately promote transportation culture exchanges at home and abroad.
