Beijing Jiaotong University, one of the three origins of Jiaotong University, has historical roots dating back to 1896. Its predecessor was the Railway Management Institute founded by the Qing government, which was the first higher education school specializing in training management talents in China, and the birthplace of modern railroad management and telecommunication education in China. The university has two campuses in Haidian District, Beijing, with a total area of nearly 1,000 mu and a building area of more than 1 million square meters.
