Zhejiang Yuexiu University (ZYU), built in 1981, is a full-time institute offering regular undergraduate education. It is located in Shaoxing, hometown of the famous writer Lu Xun and a well-known ancient city with rich cultural heritage. The present ZYU comprises two campuses, i.e. Jishan Campus and Jinghu Campus, covering an area of 1,300 mu (approximately 214 hectares) with a total floor area of about 440,000 square meters. Presently, the university has an enrollment of over 16,500 full-time undergraduates against a teaching staff of more than 1.000. Over 42% of the 1,000 regular teachers are full or associate professors, and 80% have received master's and/or doctoral degrees. The university consists of 14 colleges/schools and the curriculum involves 16 foreign languages in it, including English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Thai, Czech, Turkish, Polish, Bahasa Indonesia and Farsi. ZYU's achievements have been praised and affirmed by the society. In the rankings of Wu Shulian and China Alumni Association, ZYU ranked among the top 20 private universities in China and was rated as "China's top private university". In the ranking of internationalization level of colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province, ZYU has ranked first among bachelor’s level colleges and universities for five consecutive years.
浙江越秀外国语学院始建于1981年，是经国家教育部批准设立的全日制普通本科院校。学校坐落于中国首批历史文化名城、著名的江南水乡、鲁迅故里——浙江绍兴。学校现有稽山、镜湖两个校区，占地面积近1300亩，校园建筑面积44万余平方米。
学校现有全日制在校生16500余人，教职工1000余人，其中专任教师中硕士、博士学位教师占比80%以上，高级职称教师占比超过42%。学校设有14个二级学院，目前开设45个本科专业，涵盖英语、法语、德语、俄语、西班牙语、意大利语、葡萄牙语、捷克语、土耳其语、波兰语、日语、朝鲜语、阿拉伯语、印度尼西亚语、泰语、波斯语16个外语语种。
