Xi’an Fanyi University (XFU) was founded in 1987 by late Professor Ding Zuyi，an outstanding educator in China and the first president of the university. As one of the earliest non-governmental universities in China, XFU has grown into a dynamic comprehensive university with a tradition of anticipating and leading change.
西安翻译学院由我国当代杰出教育家、民办教育拓荒者丁祖诒先生于1987年创办。作为中国最早的民办大学之一，经过三十多年的办学实践，西安翻译学院已发展成一所以文、商科为主，以外语为特色，多学科协调发展、具有重要影响和鲜明特色的民办大学。
