The online team communication project launched by “Chinese Bridge”, entitled “Zhejiang, a Pacemaker of Common Prosperity”, is themed around Zhejiang’s endeavor to achieve common prosperity and its reform under way. It displays a real Zhejiang Province in an authentic and comprehensive way, from households and villages all the way up to towns and cities, relates the stories of Zhejiang people represented by ordinary citizens and households in different regions and industries about how they strive to realize their dreams. Zheli is homophonic to “here” in Chinese. The former indicates a project with Zhejiang characteristics while the latter not merely represents individual experiences at various levels, ranging from citizens, households, villages and towns, but also provides a replicable model for the whole nation and the Chinese approach to poverty reduction. China in the new era not just means amazing super projects, but also a prosperous and contented life for the common people. We choose Jiande-Strawberry Town, Hengdian-5A World Studios, Tonglu-the hometown of private express, Yiwu-the world’s capital of small commodities, Wenzhou-the birthplace of China’s private economy, and Hangzhou-Heaven on Earth, as representatives of Zhejiang at various levels-villages, towns, counties, county-level cities, second-tier cites and first-tier cities, respectively. We recount stories of people with different occupations and statuses- farmers, workers, couriers, programmers, foreigners, businessmen, the elderly, etc. -about how they achieve prosperity through hard work and realize their dreams on the land of Zhejiang. From the perspective of humanistic care and with ordinary people’s experiences as a microcosm, we give a bottom-to-up display of Zhejiang’s efforts and achievements in reaching the aim of common prosperity, and an authentic and comprehensive display of Zhejiang’s approach and wisdom in reducing poverty and promoting high-quality development. The project includes seven 40-minute video lessons, using the language of Intermediate Level IV of Chinese Proficiency Grading Standard for International Chinese Language Education (hereinafter referred to as Standard）for the script creation. The video lessons are both a carrier of stories of China and a course book for Chinese language teaching. Additionally, there are fourteen 60-minute live lessons of Chinese. The project is aimed at relating stories of today’s China through teaching the Chinese language.
