Yanbian University, founded in 1949, located at Yanji, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, was one of the earliest founded universities by CPC in the ethnic minority region. Yanbian University is the country's "double-first-class" construction university,the national "211 Project" key construction university, the western development key construction university, a key university jointly supported by both the Ministry of Education and Jilin Province as well as the Jilin Provincial People’s Government and the National Ethnic Affairs Commission.
延边大学始建于1949年，坐落吉林省延边朝鲜族自治州首府延吉市，是中国共产党较早在少数民族地区建立的高校之一，是国家“双一流”建设高校、国家“211工程”重点建设大学、西部开发重点建设院校、吉林省人民政府和教育部共同重点支持建设大学、吉林省人民政府和国家民委共同重点支持建设大学。
