Students registered for this program are mainly from France, Italy, Canada, South Korea, Germany, Spain and other countries, with a total of 182 learners. The program covers three forms of teaching and learning: oral Chinese live classes, Xi’an cultural experience live classes, and Xi’an culture video classes. Through visiting the most popular local attractions of Xi’an, including the Xi’an City Wall, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, the Shaanxi History Museum, the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower, Yongxingfang food quarter, and the Grand Tang Mall, students are guided online to experience the typical local flavor food of Xi’an, such as jiaozi banquet, biangbiang noodle, stewed mutton or beef paomo, Zhashui potato ciba etc., and to enjoy the intangible cultural heritages of Huayin Laoqiang opera, wooden puppet show, Qin opera, leather shadow play, and paper-cut. These activities can greatly improve the foreign students’ better understanding of the unique charm of this ancient capital city of China, Xi’an.
