‘Chinese Bridge - Story China’ is an online exchange program for overseas Chinese learners hold by School of Communication, Tianjin Foreign Studies University. This program aims to achieve a deep integration of language learning and cultural experience, allowing overseas Chinese lovers to learn Chinese in stories, rich in traditional Chinese culture, and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture. It contains knowledge of Chinese language and culture, folk stories (such as Meng Jiangnv’s Bitter Weeping down the Great Wall, The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl), classic stories (such as Oath of the Peach Garden, Monkey King Defeats the White Bone Monster Three Times ,Capturing the Jade Rabbit). Some real-world content is also added to the course, through online experience, to introduce to the students contemporary China and the development of Tianjin city, and lead everyone to feel the Chinese people’s clothing, food, shelter and transportation today. In this way, we will also show a true, three-dimensional and comprehensive image of China by telling good stories about China’s current development.
