The Tang Dynasty is one of the most proud eras in the history of the Chinese nation. The country was strong, and culture thrived. During this period, the great Tang Empire possessed the richest material and spiritual wealth in the world. Poetry, music, dance, calligraphy, painting, sculpture, architecture, and gardens were undoubtedly at the highest level globally at that time. Among these, the Tang Dynasty's foreign exchanges and cultural dissemination had an influence on Chinese culture that even surpassed that of all other dynasties. During the Tang Dynasty, China engaged in extensive cultural exchanges with neighboring countries. Tang culture and art spread throughout Asia and even the world. This course will include experiential and practical sessions on Tang painting and calligraphy, allowing participants to appreciate the vastness, depth, and inclusive openness of Chinese culture during the flourishing Tang period.
