Batik and tie-dye are important intangible cultural heritages in China. This course is both artistic and practical. Students can easily learn how to transform old clothes by using simple tools. Through this course, students can not only learn Chinese traditional batik and tie-dyeing skills, but also further their understanding about Chinese culture by experiencing the rich cultural and regional characteristics and natural scenery in southwestern China. Participants can also get close touch with local tradition and inheritors. By stepping on the stage of global culture communication, they make their own effort to build a future with colorful global culture.
