Fengjie, historically known as Kuizhou, is located at the upper reaches of Jingchu and is a key county in Bashu. It is not only a strategic point in the Yangtze River Three Gorges but also a confluence of Bashu and Chu cultures. Its long historical and cultural heritage, along with its abundant natural and human resources, have attracted numerous poets to compose tens of thousands of poems here. In 2017, Fengjie was awarded the title of "Chinese Poetic City" by the Chinese Poetry Society, which is the only one of its kind in the country. This course mainly introduces the experiences of the two poets, Du Fu and Li Bai, during their residence in Fengjie and their influence on the place. The aim is to follow in the footsteps of these poets to memorize history, appreciate the scenery of the Chinese land, and inherit Chinese civilization.
