The history of Chinese ancient poetry is extensive, traceable back to the Neolithic Age thousands of years ago. The ancients spread ballads and folk songs orally to reflect the local customs, cultures, and social backgrounds of their time. This session of the “Singing to Learn Chinese” course aims to guide everyone on a journey of discovery into the beauty of Chinese ancient poetry. We will not only appreciate its charm but also use the power of music to revive the ancient poems in our hearts. The main songs taught in this course are “Reading Tang Poems” and “Xiao Ya·Lu Ming”.
