Hani polyphonic folk songs are the sounds sung on the terraced fields, originating from the Puchun Village area in Honghe County. In May 2006, it was selected into the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. The term "polyphony" refers to a pair or group of singers singing two or more parts simultaneously in a folk song. Among the polyphonic music of many ethnic minorities, Hani polyphony has gained attention for its rare multi-voice performances. Its representative works include "Wuchu Atz" (Rice Planting Song) and "Love Song" among others.
