2Dali Bai tie-dye is an ancient textile dyeing technique in China, and was selected into the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list in May 2006. More than one thousand patterns in Bai tie-dye are a reflection of the Bai people's historical culture over thousands of years, reflecting the Bai people's customs, aesthetics, and forming the charming Dali Bai textile and dyeing culture together with various craft techniques. Among them, the tie-dye industry of Zhoucheng(a village in Dali) Bai people is the most famous, and it has been named by the Ministry of Culture as the "Hometown of Ethnic Tie-dye".
大理白族扎染是我国一种古老的纺织品染色技艺,2006年5月入选第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。白族扎染中的一千多种纹样是千百年来白族历史文化的缩影,折射出白族的民情风俗与审美情趣,与各种工艺手段一起构成富有魅力的大理白族织染文化。其中,周城白族的扎染业最为著名,被文化部命名为“民族扎染之乡”。
