We take Intercultural communication as a fundamental theory in this course. The important questions of cultural communication about Chinese culture will be asked. In this course, Michael H. Prosser`s theory will be used as our basic framework which has four elements of cultural communication. We will introduce the concepts of Message、Disseminator、Symbol and Mediums. We will discuss the cultural communication context which comprises the four elements, and so on. After that, we will introduce the background characteristics of Chinese culture: Historical significance、Regional disparity。Cultural diversity. The Chinese convention and ethic will be discussed. At the end of the course, we will talk about cultural inheritance.

本课程以“跨文化传播学”为基础理论,讨论在“中国文化”语境之中的文化传播问题。课程以迈克尔·H·普罗斯的“文化传播四要素”为基本框架,简单介绍“讯息”、“传播者”、“符号”、“传播媒介”的概念;介绍在文化传播过程中,“四要素”构成的文化传播场域。在此理论框架的基础上,讨论中国文化表现出来的背景特征,即:厚重的历史性、地域的差异性、文化的多样性。然后,立足于“传播”,讨论“中国文化”的习俗和规范。最后,课程从“文化传播”的功能和价值角度,思考文化传承问题。课程在简单介绍理论基础上,通过视频展示的形式丰富课程的感染力。
