From the first non-verbal communication to the current interactive media, each change in the media has brought new possibilities for the communication and interaction of human cultures. The history of audiovisual media culture is only a little over a hundred years old, but it does provide a deeper soil and a more solid guarantee for the encoding, decoding and integration of culture for all mankind. Like the audiovisual editing techniques in this course, we can use technology as a tool, ideas as a craftsman, and the unity of the craftsman and the tool, to comfortably plant cultural seeds all over the world. This course uses the stunning culture of Yunnan, China as a source, and through a variety of case studies, technical presentations and reflective memory, we hope that foreign students will be able to get close to media technology and tell the best stories of China and of humanity as a whole.
