2The aim of this lecture is to introduce the scientific spirit of Chinese culture and its historical advancement through an analysis of the "chronological system" and "calendar features" of Chinese culture. The Chinese "chronological system" divides the day into "12 hours", while in the West the day is divided into "24 hours"; in the West the day is divided into "96 quarters ", while in China it is divided into '100 quarters'. Secondly, the Chinese time terms "day, month and year" are all developed from physical terms. Thirdly, the Chinese calendar is characterised by lunisolar calendar, with the "19 years and 7 leap years" established more than 2000 years ago. The Chinese calendar is a perfect example of the precision and perfection of the Chinese calendar.
本讲座的目的是通过中国文化中“计时制”和“历法特点”的分析,介绍中华文化的科学精神和中华文化的在历史上的先进性。中国“计时制”把一天分为“12时”,西方把一天分为“24时”;西方把一天为“96刻”,中国把一天分为“100刻”。其次中国时间名词“日、月、年”都是由实体名词发展来的。第三,中华历法的特点是“阴阳合历”,2000多年前就制定了“十九年七闰法”,后来和阳历的“二十四节气”有机统一,体现了中华历法的精密完美。
