This course mainly has two parts: marine navigation theory and practice. Part one, i.e. marine navigation theory, mainly relates to basic knowledge of marine navigation, including the types of ships and their features, crew organization and crew duties, and the current situation of Chinese marine navigation, etc. Part two, i.e. practice, to cognize marine equipment, particularly console equipment and their functions mainly relying on the navigation simulator, engine simulator and "Yu Fu" training ship and have real navigation experience based on simulations of different ship types, different weather conditions and different ports as well as some unexpected situations.
