Regular script sprouted from the Qin and Han dynasties, reached its peak in the Tang Dynasty, and has been used until today. The well-written regular script is well-proportioned, extending and natural, and also has an exact sense of solemnity. As for the basic training of regular script, regular script strokes are the most important basic links. Although there are many Chinese characters, only eight basic strokes exist, namely horizontal, vertical, skew, pin, hook, pick, fold, and dot. These eight strokes constitute all the Chinese characters. This course focuses on explaining the forms and writing methods of these eight strokes. Each stroke has its own characteristics, and the writing methods are accordingly very different.
