The Geological Museum of Jiangxi College of Applied Technology is National Geological Science Popularization Base, Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Popularization Base and Ganzhou Municipal Social Science Popularization Base. Jewelry and jade is a kind of characteristic exhibit. There are over 20 kinds of jewelry and jade commonly seen and near 1000 mineral crystals with unique crystal forms, beautiful color and special luster collected in our geological museum, popular with students, teachers and citizens. In this course, the varieties of jewelry and jade in the museum will be lectured on, such as agate, crystal, tourmaline, garnet, malachite and so on. Besides, learners will know about basic facts about diamond and its evaluation elements from the aspects of composition, crystal form, market situation, identification and grading. It is our hope that learners can get preliminary knowledge of jewelry, know some methods about diamond identification and evaluation elements and increase their interest in jewelry by learning this course.
