In recent years, China’s economic development has attracted worldwide attention, especially in terms of engineering technology. Many mega-projects have been completed. In this course, we will get access to three major infrastructure projects in China, understand their engineering geological background and explore into the way to solving engineering geological problems in construction. By learning this course, we can know how to build skyscrapers in the soft soil foundation, build the railways in the frozen soil foundation on the plateau, and build high-speed railways in the areas of salty soil and collapsible loess.
