The Heilongjiang River is the cultural window of Heilongjiang Province, showing Longjiang culture and national feature. Taking the Heilongjiang River as the window, the course introduces Heilongjiang Province and its three representative cities in detail in order to make students have a more comprehensive understanding on Heilongjiang Province and to improve their Chinese level as well as stimulate their learning interests from the perspective of human geography. You will lead students to understand the characteristics of Heilongjiang Province through introducing the location, origin of its name and the climate characteristics (including folk custom - winter swimming). Also, you will lead students to understand the local customs of Harbin by introducing the main scenic spots in Harbin, the provincial capital - Central Street (including folk customs - watching ice lanterns), Harbin Ice-Snow World and so forth. Additionally, you will introduce the scenic spots of Qiqihar City and Mudanjiang City to show the natural scenery of Heilongjiang Province. Furthermore, you will introduce famous and special products and representative dishes in Heilongjiang Province to lead students into the food culture.
