Since ancient times, the Chinese have revered the laws of nature and emphasized: “eating according to the seasons and adapting to the times”. We will follow the four seasons to find the seasonal food for health and wellness, using “Spring Start, Summer Growth, Autumn Harvest and Winter Storage” as a guide. This lesson focuses on the climate of spring, the main festivals of spring, their symbolic meanings and traditional Chinese food culture. It introduces the characteristics of spring vegetarian dishes, i.e. freshness of taste, and shows the preparation process of three representative spring vegetarian dishes for health, and introduces the health-preserving methods they contain.

中国人自古崇尚自然规律,讲求“应季而食,因时而适”。我们以“春生、夏长、秋收、冬藏”为引,跟随四季更迭,去寻访当季养生美食。本课主讲春季的气候、主要节日、寓意及中国传统饮食文化。介绍春季素菜的特点——味鲜,展示具有代表性的三道春季养生素食——大煮干丝、山药素烧鹅、油焖兰花干笋的菜品制作过程,介绍其所蕴藏的养生之道。
