Chinese paintings are one of the most important parts of Chinese national culture, mainly focusing on vivid charm, artistic mood, feelings and calligraphy touches. Thus, Chinese paintings are distinguished from painting area worldwide as an independent part. The Chinese Paintings Course of "Chinese Bridge" Online Winter Camp for Belarusian Students is of 2-class-hour length. In the first part, the lecturer introduces the implied sense and features of plum blossom, the history of plum blossom over the past 3000 years, where plum blossom mainly grows nationwide, its close-up shot by camera lenses, different colours and freehand paintings. In the second half, Chinese traditional paintings, or what we call the national paintings, are going to be explained, with freehand paintings of plum blossom mainly told. The lecturer sheds light on technique of drawing in a traditional way, further displaying the painting tools concerned, the way a painter holds a painting brush and basic skills to complete a painting. The course takes the form of combination of explanation and demonstration, so that students can learn Chinese paintings in a relaxing manner and feel their deep cultural deposits.
