With the advancement of technology, the manufacturing industry has gradually developed automated production lines from hand-made and home-based workshop production. It is suitable for single variety and mass production. In terms of quantity, it can meet people's needs for commodities. In order to meet the needs of product individualization and customization, "flexible manufacturing" has emerged. Due to the "flexibility" of the control system, the flexible manufacturing production line can undertake the task of multi-variety and variable batch production. This course mainly introduces the characteristics of flexible manufacturing, the composition of flexible manufacturing systems, and the operation of typical flexible manufacturing systems.
