Pirouzmand Parisa, Hayek Mohammad are freshmen of DUT, the charm of which has been drawing their curiosity everywhere. One day, they passed by the south gate of the campus where they happened to find three students taking photos. All of them came from China, called Cui Jian, Wang Jiaxin and Ni Hanlin. In order to find out reasons, these two overseas students came around and asked why they were taking photos there. The Chinese students said that taking photos there expressed special morals because “lian li” (the second and third characters of Dalian University of Technology) in Chinese was a metaphor of a loving couple, and “lian li zhi” (a kind of tree with twined trunks) symbolized swerving love. After communication, they soon became friends. As tour guides, Chinese students ticked off such worthy places as lover’s lane, the square of the main building, the rainbow bridge, Lingxi library, the School of Chemical Engineering of DUT, the history galleries of DUT, DUT1949 cafe, the gymnasium of Liu Changchun and the Dongshan basketball court. Finally, a one-day tour came to an end at a bus stop of the campus. All of them had a nice time.
