This course aims to present an all-round economic picture and development status of Nanjing and enhance the world people's understanding of Nanjing, Jiangsu and even China. The course is developed from five aspects: commercial center, urban area, transportation, industrial structure, and citizens' life. For decades, Xinjiekou has been the commercial center of Nanjing, and as the city has grown, new commercial centers have emerged and the main city has expanded. Nanjing's transportation has developed rapidly over the past two decades, with numerous subways and traffic channels of river-spanning making the city's traffic extremely convenient, and high-speed trains and airplanes making Nanjing a transportation hub in East China. In terms of industrial structure, Nanjing has also undergone industrial upgrading and transformation, forming a new industrial system of "4+4+1". The last section shows the shopping and consumption situation of Nanjing people.
