The Temple of Heaven: The Temple of Heaven is located in the south of Beijing on the east of Yongdingmen Inner Street, Dongcheng District, covering an area of about 2,730,000 square meters. Established in 1420, it was a place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties offered sacrifices to heaven and prayed for bumper harvests. It is famous for its rigorous layout, unique structure and magnificent decoration. It is now a world cultural heritage.
