Shandong Polytechnic College (SDPC), founded in 1950, is an ordinary higher vocational college approved by Shandong Provincial People’s Government. The college covers an area of 681,333 square meters, with a floor area of 350,000 square meters, a library collection of 1.71 million volumes, and a total of 946 faculty members. SDPC consists of 14 secondary schools and teaching departments, including School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (School of Intelligent Manufacturing), School of Automotive Engineering (School of Rail Transportation), School of Energy and Materials Engineering, School of Information Engineering (School of Artificial Intelligence), School of Architectural Engineering, School of International Education, School of Medical Care and Health and so forth. With an enrollment of 26,000 full-time students, SDPC has set up 13 professional clusters and 62 majors, connecting regional strategic emerging industries, high-end equipment manufacturing and modern service industry. Up to now, SDPC has a total of 946 faculty members, including 753 full-time teachers, 266 with titles of associate senior or above, 17 with doctoral degrees and 444 with master’s degrees; in addition, there are 494 engineers and technicians from enterprises serving as part-time teachers. In recent years, SDPC has made a continuous improvement in nurturing talents, with a year-by-year increase in quality of enrollment and employment. SDPC started education for international students in 2017, and has since trained 256 international students from 38 countries.
