Dehong Teachers’ College is located in Mangshi, the capital city of Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture in the southwest of Yunnan Province, China. Mangshi is also the hub city of Yunnan-Myanmar transportation and oil and gas passages. The college is a provincial public full-time general higher education institution approved by Ministry of Education of China. Currently, there are 456 full-time teachers, including 163 associate professors and professors. 258 faculty members are with master’s degrees. The college can provide training for 39 specialties, including 13 educational specialties, and there are over 10,000 students at present. Adhering to the school-running philosophy of “based in Dehong, facing Yunnan, radiating to neighboring countries, cultivating qualified teachers for basic education, and cultivating high-quality applied talents for local economic and social development”, the college has trained beyond 40,000 graduates, including over 500 international students. After more than 60 years of development, the college has become a local application-oriented and multi-disciplinary cross-coordinated teachers’ college, with education discipline as the lead and teacher training discipline as its focus.
