Tianjin Foreign Studies University (TFSU) is a multilingual university with seven discipline categories— Literature, Economics, Management, Law, Education, Art and Engineering.It has established cooperative ties with some 240 universities and a number of educational institutions in over 40 countries. Each year, TFSU admits over 2,000 international students from more than 60 countries around the world for a degree or short-term studies. The University receives foreign students from "Chinese Government Scholarship", " International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship " and "Tianjin Government Scholarship", and has set up "Tianjin Foreign Studies University Scholarship for Overseas Student ". The university has co-hosted nine Confucius Institutes respectively with South Korea, Portugal, Russia, Colombia, Ukraine, Japan and Gabon.
