Yantai Institute of Technology, formerly known as the School of Literature and Economics of Yantai University, is located in Yantai City, Shandong Province. The school was established in 2003 and was approved by the education administrative department of the State Council to be converted into an independent full-time regular undergraduate university in 2021. It has won the honorary titles of "Demonstration College of Entrepreneurship Education for College Students in Shandong Province", "exemplary organization of International Exchange and Cooperation in Education in Shandong Province", and "Shandong University with the Best Social Reputation". The school has 12 teaching colleges (departments), including the School of Economics and Management and the School of Accounting and Finance. 烟台理工学院原名烟台大学文经学院，位于山东省烟台市。学校创建于2003年，2021年经国务院教育行政部门批准转设为独立建制的全日制普通本科高校。荣获“山东省大学生创业教育示范院校”、“山东省教育国际交流与合作工作先进单位”、“山东最佳社会声誉高校”等荣誉称号。
