Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry was founded in 1923，the college is a high-level college construction unit with Chinese characteristics（class A） and a national demonstration vocational college. With a history of 100 years, the college has developed into a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive higher vocational and technical college characterized by agricultural majors. The college covers an area of over 4000000 ㎡ and has 10 secondary colleges, 42 majors, and more than 12000 students, A "one main and two wings" campus pattern has been formed, with the school headquarters as the main body and Jiangsu Agricultural Expo Park and Jiangsu Tea Expo Park echoing each other. The college adheres to the principle of serving agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, with ability development as the core, and takes the path of integrating industry, academia, and research, forming a distinct educational characteristic. The college is one of the first batch of office units of scientific and technological support and talent training bases for agricultural foreign cooperation in China, the leading unit of the "the Belt and Road" International Alliance for Modern Agricultural Vocational Education, and has contracted to build the Sino French Agricultural Training and Rural Revitalization Service Center at the level of the Chinese and French governments. In recent years, the college has established long-term cooperative relationships with universities and educational institutions in more than 20 countries and regions such as the United States, France, the Netherlands, Australia, and Taiwan. In recent years, the college has always adhered to accompanying enterprises to go overseas, and has jointly applied with AVIC International to build a "Chinese Workshop". It has been selected for the "Future Africa" project of the Ministry of Education, and has cooperated with "going global" enterprises such as Longping High Tech and Jiangsu Huayue Group to build overseas "Shennong Colleges" in Ethiopia, Kenya, and other countries. The college has established the Laos branch of Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry in Oudomxay Province, Laos, established a China Laos Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Demonstration Park, The Laos branch has been selected as one of the first batch of "China ASEAN Outstanding Partners in Vocational Education". In March 2015, the college officially admitted full-time international students with associate degrees. 江苏农林职业技术学院创建于1923年，为中国特色高水平学院（A档）建设单位、国家示范性高职院校，100年的历史传承，学院已发展成为以涉农专业为特色的多学科、综合型高等职业技术学院，学院占地面积6000余亩，设有风景园林、农学园艺等10个二级学院、42个专业，在校生12000多人，形成了以校本部为主体，江苏农博园、江苏茶博园相呼应的“一主两翼”校园格局。学院“以服务‘三农’为宗旨，以能力培养为核心，走产学研一体化之路”，形成了鲜明的办学特色。

2015年3月，学院正式招收全日制专科学历国际学生，目前已经招收来自肯尼亚、孟加拉、缅甸、刚果等20多个国家的300多名学历国际学生。2016-2019年学院连续四年荣获“全国高职院校国际影响力50强”、获得“2018亚太职业院校50强”荣誉称号、2015-2016、2020、2022年均荣获江苏省“来华留学生教育先进集体”称号。
