The college serves the Maritime Power Strategy of China and strives to cultivate excellent seafarers. The feature of the project is through “live broadcast platform+online virtual courses” to provide the navigation career experience and relevant online tours with the theme of “Enjoying the Sea Charm of Tianjin and Visiting the Largest Port in Northern China Online”, and focuses on language learning of Chinese+maritime career experience and cultural experience, depending on the high-level units cooperated with the college ——Tianjin Port and the National Maritime Museum. Considering the interesting and entertaining features of the project, the courses’ content are composed of three characteristic sections: Chinese learning, career experience and online tours. Through experiencing different jobs on board, learners can have the sense of fulfillment and satisfaction through the improvement of Chinese, which practices the education concept of “learning by doing, learning by playing”. Through the demonstration of Tianjin Port, the largest port in the north of China, the development of Chinese maritime and its green low-carbon mode will be learned; Through the demonstration of fisherman's custom, China's overall poverty alleviation, rural revitalization and beautiful rural construction will be understood; Through the demonstration of maritime vocational education, the attraction of modern China to international youth will be enhanced.While learning about Chinese language, culture and navigation knowledge,international students will visit the National Maritime Museum, and Tianjin Port in an immersive way online to appreciate Chinese ocean culture.
