Founded in 1958, Dalian Polytechnic University (DPU) has one of the longest histories in the academic area of Chinese light industry. DPU's campus covers 1,282,000 square meters. It is home to 13,000 undergraduate students and 3,000 graduate students. As a multidisciplinary university, DPU offers courses and degrees in a range of subject areas including engineering, science, art, management, business, and the liberal arts. Dalian Polytechnic University is an international comprehensive research university that seeks to generate, organize, and disseminate knowledge through research, scholarship, and teaching.
