Jiangxi College of Applied Technology is a full-time public vocational college sponsored by Jiangxi provincial government and in charged by Provincial Department of Natural Resources of Jiangxi Province. The college is located in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. Founded in May 1958, it was originally a college directly under the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources. It has gone through five stages of development: Jiangxi Institute of Geology, Jiangxi Provincial School of Geology, Ganzhou School of Geology, Southern School of Industry and Jiangxi College of Applied Technology. It is the development unit of the high-level specialty groups (Grade A) with Chinese characteristics, the national high-quality advanced vocational college, the national backbone advanced vocational college, the high-level advanced vocational college in Jiangxi Province, the first batch of demonstration advanced vocational college in Jiangxi Province, and the first batch of applied technology undergraduate talents pilot colleges. It has been awarded the honorary titles of Top 50 Vocational Education in China, Top 100 Employment in Vocational Education in China, Top 50 Service Contributions of National Higher Vocational Colleges (twice), National Advanced Unit of School-enterprise Cooperation, Excellent School Award of the 6th Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award, etc., and has been rated as “Excellent School” and “Advanced Unit” for the employment of ordinary college graduates in Jiangxi Province for 16 consecutive years. The campus covers an area of 1,255.41 mu (about 206.81 acres), with total assets of 849 million yuan and teaching and research equipment worth 169 million yuan. There are 928 full-time teachers and 19,000 full-time students in this college. This college has formed a professional system featuring natural resources majors (covering land resources, mineral resources, surveying and mapping), taking engineering as the main body and taking into account other categories. At present, there are 50 associate specialties, including 6 key specialties supported by the central government and 2 national modern apprenticeship pilot specialties. Besides, there are 2 national excellent courses and 2 national excellent resource sharing courses.

江西应用技术职业学院是江西省政府主办、省自然资源厅主管的全日制公办高职学院。地处江西省赣州市。1958年5月建校,原为地质矿产部直属院校,历经江西地质学院、江西省地质学校、赣州地质学校、南方工业学校、江西应用技术职业学院五个发展阶段。

学校是中国特色高水平专业群(A档)建设单位、国家优质专科高等职业院校、国家骨干高职院校、江西省高水平高等职业院校、江西省首批示范性高职院校、首批应用技术型本科人才试点院校,先后荣获“中国职业教育50强”、“中国职业教育就业百强”、“全国高等职业院校服务贡献50强”(两次)、“全国校企合作先进单位”、“第六届黄炎培职业教育奖优秀学校奖”等荣誉称号,连续16年被评为江西省普通高校毕业生就业“优秀等级学校”和“先进单位”。

学校校园占地1255.41亩,总资产8.49亿元,教学科研仪器设备值1.69亿元。现有专任教师928人,全日制在校生1.9万人。学校形成了以自然资源类专业(涵盖土地资源、矿产资源、测绘三大领域)为特色,以工科为主体,兼顾其他门类的专业体系。现有专科专业50个,其中中央财政支持的重点专业6个,国家级现代学徒制试点专业2个。
