Jilin Animation Institute (shortened as JAI) was founded in June,2000, and admitted to be an independent undergraduate-level private college by Ministry of Education in 2008. At present, JAI consists of 14 schools, including School of Animation Art, School of Comic, School of Game and so on. We also offer 36 undergraduate majors, including animation, comic, digital media art and visual communication design(including Sino-foreign Cooperation Education), JAI has 1 national characteristic major, 5 national first-class undergraduate major construction points, 1 competitive feature the 12the "five-year" key subject at the provincial level, 1 provincial high level feature subject, 4 provincial first-class undergraduate professional construction point, 3 features high level majors at the provincial level, 3 provincial brands majors, 3 provincial characteristics majors, 1 professional pilot of provincial institutions of higher learning education to cultivate outstanding engineers plan, 4 professional pilot majors of provincial innovation entrepreneurship education reform, JAI now currently has more than 12,000 undergraduate students.
吉林动画学院创建于2000年6月，2008年经教育部批准为民办普通本科高校。目前，学校下设动画艺术学院、漫画学院、游戏学院等14个学院，开设动画、漫画、数字媒体艺术、视觉传达设计等36个本科专业（含中外合作办学），其中国家级特色专业1个，国家一流本科专业建设点5个，省级“十二五”优势特色重点学科1个，省级特色高水平学科1个，省级一流本科专业建设点4个，省级特色高水平专业3个，省级品牌专业3个，省级特色专业3个，省级高等学校卓越工程师教育培养计划试点专业1个，省级创新创业教育改革试点专业4个。现有本科在校生12000余人。
