Shandong Jiaotong University is established under joint governance by Department of Education in Shandong and Ministry of Transportation, which is characterized for cultivating comprehensive applied talents for transportation. The university is located in provincial capital city Jinan and coastal city Weihai with 4 campuses in total. It offers 59 majors revolving around transportation in 19 schools. There are 24000 undergraduates, 530 postgraduates ,around 170 international students and 1900 faculties now.

山东交通学院是一所以培养综合交通人才为办学特色的全日制普通本科高校，是山东省高等教育应用型人才培养特色名校立项建设单位，山东省与交通运输部共建高校。学校坐落于历史悠久的文化古城泉城济南，在济南、威海两地办学，设立济南长清校区、无影山校区、东校区和威海校区4个校区。学校以交通类专业为主，涵盖“工、管、理、经、文、艺、法”等7个学科门类，构建起交通建设类、综合运输类、载运工具设计制造类三大优势专业群；设有19个学院（部），开设59个本硕招生专业。现有全日制在校本专科学生近24000人，研究生530余人，在册国际学生170余人，教职工近1900人。
