Quzhou University (QZU) is an application-oriented public university while comprehensive in scope. It maintains a strong emphasis on engineering disciplines. Founded in 1985, QZU was approved to be a model university for application-oriented universities of Zhejiang Province in 2015. Located in the city of Quzhou in Zhejiang Province, a national historic and cultural city known as the Home of Southern Confucianism，QZU’s Southern Confucianism has been registered as a University Culture Brand of Zhejiang.
衢州学院坐落于素有“南孔圣地”之称的国家历史文化名城衢州，是一所以工为主、多科协调发展的全日制应用型普通本科院校，2015年获批为浙江省应用型建设试点示范学校，2018年2月通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，2021年被列为教育部新一轮本科教育教学审核评估试点院校。学校在2022年GDI中国大学排名中位列第334名，在2022年软科中国大学排名中位列第384名。学校占地863亩，设有10个学院（部）、29个本科专业，拥有国家级一流本科专业1个、国家级一流本科课程2门，省级一流学科4个、省级一流本科专业11个。现有全日制在校生近7800人，教职员工703人，专任教师519人，具有高级职称教师235人、博士185人，省“新世纪151人才工程”第二层次及以上人才15人次。
