临沂大学坐落在历史文化名城、商贸物流之都、滨水生态之城、全国文明城市——山东省临沂市，是一所理、工、文、经、管、医、法、艺、教等多学科协调发展、特色鲜明的综合性大学。临沂大学于1941年建校，学校现设有26个学院、5个校级科研机构、5个教辅机构和5个直属机构， 76个本科专业，涵盖11大学科门类。面向全国招生， 全日制在校生42000多人，专任教师2700多人。目前设有4个硕士授权一级学科、11个硕士专业学位授权类别，是山东省应用型人才培养特色名校、国家发改委“产教融合”项目重点建设高校。

临沂大学实施开放兴校战略，优化开放办学格局，与美国、法国、加拿大、俄罗斯、西班牙、韩国、新西兰、马来西亚、菲律宾等25个国家和地区的90余所高校建立校际合作关系，开设中外合作办学专业3个，建有中外合作研究机构5个，是中国——中东欧高校联合会、中俄（山东）国际教育合作联盟会员单位，在几内亚与科纳克里大学建立孔子学院，与韩国江南大学共建世宗学堂，与临沂市政府共建临沂RCEP区域合作研究中心，建有俄语语言文化中心、西班牙语国际等级考试中心

Linyi University is located in Shandong's Linyi City that is a well-known historical and cultural city, city of commerce and logistics, waterfront ecological city, and national civilized city. Linyi University adopts the strategy of revitalizing the university through opening up, optimizes the pattern of open education, establishes cooperative relationships with over 90 universities in 25 countries such as the United States, France, Canada, Russia, Spain, South Korea, New Zealand, Malaysia, Philippines, etc., and sets up 3 Chinese-foreign cooperation running majors, 5 Chinese-foreign cooperation research institutions. The university is the member of China-CEEC Higher Education Institutions Consortium and China-Russia (Shandong) International Education and Cooperation Union, establishes a Confucius Institute together with the Conakry University in Guinea, and it also founds the King Sejong Institute with the Kangnam University in the South Korea, establishes Linyi RCEP Regional Cooperation Research Center with Linyi Municipal Government, as well as the Russian Language and Culture Center and the Spanish Language International Grade Examination Center.
