Anhui university（AHU）, located at Hefei, Capital of Anhui Province, is one of the first batch of universities under “Double World-Class ”(a state project to construct world-class universities and disciplines) and “211 project” (a state project to develop 100 first-rate universities during the 21st century). AHU is a key comprehensive provincial institution co-constructed by Ministry of Education of China and Anhui Provincial Government. AHU, with four main campuses taking up an area of over 80 acres and 1.27 million square meters of construction floor area, has a full-fledged education system for bachelors, masters and doctors. It consists of 28 colleges, 87 undergraduate programs (38 of which are national level first-class undergraduate construction programs), 18 doctorate disciplines and 1 authorized doctorate program, 33 master’s disciplines and 1 sub master discipline, 24 authorized master’s degree programs and 13 post-doctoral research stations. AHU has established exchange and cooperation with 152 universities and institutions around the world in countries like the U.S, the U.K, Germany, Japan, etc. We have co-founded 4 Confucius Institutes with University of Santo Tomas (Chile), Kharkiv National V.N. Karazin University (Ukraine), Baku State University (Azerbaijan), Brest National University (Belarus), among which Santo Tomas Confucius Institute has been awarded titles as “Global Advanced Confucius Institute ” and ”Model Confucius Institute”. Moreover, 9 “China Center” have been co-constructed by Anhui University in its partner universities in Russia, France, Poland, Japan, Korea and Mexico.

学校占地面积3200余亩，建筑面积127万平方米，拥有本硕博完整的高等教育人才培养层次体系，28个学院，87个本科专业（其中38个为国家级一流本科专业建设点），18个博士学位授权一级学科以及1个博士专业学位授权类别，33个硕士学位授权一级学科和1个硕士学位授权二级学科、以及24个硕士专业学位授权类别，13个博士后科研流动站。
学校与美、英、德、日等国家和地区的152所高校和科研机构建立了交流合作关系；与智利圣托马斯大学、乌克兰哈尔科夫国立大学、阿塞拜疆巴库国立大学、白俄罗斯布列斯特国立大学合作建立4所孔子学院，其中智利圣托马斯大学孔子学院先后荣获“全球先进孔子学院”“示范孔子学院”荣誉称号；与俄罗斯、法国、波兰、日本、韩国、墨西哥合作高校共建有9个“中国中心”。
